Update Credentials for SOLIDWORKS PDM Database Server

The SOLIDWORKS PDM Database Server service periodically polls SOLIDWORKS PDM databases for updates such as automatic notifications, local view refresh, card list updates, replication schedule updates, and index server changes. If your Microsoft SQL (sacredentials have changed, then they need updated in the Database Server Configuration.

 

Navigate to Windows Start > SOLIDWORKS PDM, and launch Database Server Configuration

In the SOLIDWORKS PDM Database Server dialog, update the SQL-Server Connection credentials and then click OK to close the dialog.

Restart the SOLIDWORKS PDM Database server in the Windows Services app. Navigate to Windows Start > Window Administrative Tools, and then launch Services.

In the windows Services app, right-click SOLIDWORKS Database Server and select Restart.

The Microsoft SQL credentials have now been updated in SOLIDWORKS PDM Archive Server.
